My new fashion love: Cos

If Helmut Lang and H&M had a baby, it would be Cos. This is pure Scandanavian chic on a budget. I don’t know why I decided to browse this shop on a Saturday (totally terrible idea), as every Dutch fashionista was also there. A few tips if you ever explore this shop:

1. Dress to try everything on without going to the fitting room. There are only 2. Waiting is a nightmare. Trust me.

2. Avoid weekend shopping. Long lines and too many shoppers make for a bit of an unpleasant experience in a really pleasant place.

3. Have a list. It’s really easy to get sidetracked here, because everything is just…perfect. You have to know what you’re looking for and only focus on those items.

Top 10 Trends of 2012

Every year I put together a list of predictions. Here’s my predictions for 2012.

1. Conscious Consumption — Millennials are still consuming. The recession proved to be more of a reset button, allowing them to focus on what’s important. Brands like TOMS shoes and FEED are examples of how Millennials are purchasing great products while supporting philanthropic causes at the same time. This is a trend that’s here to stay.
